Maralyn Wilson’s beginner’s encaustic workshop focuses on the basics of painting with media made from hot beeswax, resin and pigment. This luminous paint offers many unique characteristics; a virtually immediate drying time allowing colors to be layered in rapid succession, the opportunity to carve into the paint or imbed various textures & images, and the ability to rework the image as many times as you like! Unlike most art workshops, students will leave with several beautiful and finished works of art.
Sat. May 11th, 10am – 4pm. $145, some supplies included, lunch included.
